The name
Nirja is one cottage at Vrihi, a boutique micro-resort set between farmlands in Mandrem, North Goa — 800 metres from the beach, where nature, comfort and slow living come together. A king bed below, a queen loft above, and an open-air bathtub off the washroom.
The Approach
The way in is through a low laterite wall strung with lights, past a garlanded Ganesha at the threshold. Vrihi announces itself quietly — the way a house does, not a hotel.
The Frame
The cottage sits beneath a spreading canopy on its own timber deck, blue tile running down the pitch, glass filling the gable end. Peacocks and birdsong do most of the talking.
Inside
Warm pine from floor to apex. A king bed on the ground floor opening onto the deck, and a queen loft reached by a wooden staircase — tucked right up under the peak of the roof.
The Bathtub
The detail the listing is named for: a bathtub open to the air, walled in laterite and planted all around. Guests keep calling it the reason they book.

Stayed at Vrihi's Nirja A-frame in Mandrem for my girlfriend's birthday and it was absolutely magical. The A-frame design, the fairy lights, and the open-air bathtub make it feel like a private little dream tucked away in nature. Sayandip and the team went above and beyond to make the birthday special.

I have to say the best stay I ever had in all my Goa stays. Best stay, best people, best location — actually serene I have to say, best staff. I would recommend 1000% to everyone to atleast spend 2 days here and you would not regret.
